Starting from the city of Leticia, we will undertake an expedition through Colombian, Peruvian and Brazilian territory. Our expeditions change according to the level of water in the Amazon river and nearby rivers such as the Yavari or the Itaguai; it is because of this that every exploration is completely unique. We seek to explore the jungle in a way that limits our impact; we move in small groups in order to watch snakes, monkeys, birds and every kind of animals in their natural state. We are constantly changing camp; we try not to spend two nights in the same spot. Far from luxury hotels and the comforts of the city, we take from nature only what we need, fishing and collecting the majority of our food like locals do. Another way of exploring this vast wilderness is kayaking upriver looking for tributaries where it is common to see the famous Amazonian pink dolphin. We will have also the opportunity to try zip lining between the tall trees with a local expert. At night we will leave our camp to find snakes in the forest and alligators in the rivers.
Our Colombian and Brazilian guides, who have lived their whole lives in the Amazon, will share stories of the jungle, fantastic tales and myths that are an important part of their culture and that, on a dark night surrounded by the jungle’s symphony, we firmly believe.
