San Carlos de Bariloche is the principal tourist destination in Patagonia, and the capital of adventure tourism in Argentina. Strategically perched on the edge of the Nahuel Huapi National Park, Bariloche is the gateway to a region of mountains, woods and lakes. The geography and location allow us to participate in a wide variety of activities in any season; alpinism, trekking, snowboarding, skiing, sailing, parascending and rock climbing are among the most popular.
Bariloche is the ideal destination for mountain lovers, since the National Park has an excellent infrastructure, permitting easy access to the mountains and surrounding lakes. Among them we find the symbol of the region, Mount Tronador, which at 3491 m.a.s.l. rises more than 1000 m above the other mountains of the range, offering an astonishing vista from its summit. For the less experienced there is Mount Argentino, the most accessible and therefore most crowded of the park. If you prefer a more tranquil experience in the mountains, good options are Pico Internacional, Volcano Puntiagudo or Mount Pantojo.
Our local guides have spent their whole lives exploring, climbing and skiing the mountains of Patagonia, so if you want to climb mountains of any level, do not hesitate to contact us; we will advise you and accompany you on your project. If you don't have much experience and wish to become an independent mountaineer, ask about the rescue, alpine climbing and skiing courses that we offer in this region. If you want to take part in other activities in Patagonia or if you are a group of many preferences, remember that we will design the trip to suit your wishes and expectations.
