Sutatausa Cliffs

About 88 km from Bogotá, there lies a 14km long cliff; a sacred place for Muiscas (the native people of this region), from the summit we can enjoy a view over the Ubaté valley. During this day trip we can search for pictograms from the Muisca’s ancestors, explore several caves and see many different rock forms. A perfect place for bouldering, it also has some highline routes as well as traditional and sport climbing routes. It is also a famous symbol of Colombian heritage; in the colonial period, the indigenous people chose to jump to their deaths from this cliff rather than face a life of slavery.
